Yuki The Great

by Davina A
(New Orleans, LA)

I'm really not exactly sure what kind of cat Yuki is. She is definitely a long haired Siamese of some sort. She is always getting into things and is very curious. She is only 8/9 months old, but I have had her since she was 3 months.

Everywhere I go she follows. Whether it's the kitchen, couch, bathroom or bed, she has to be there. So, she is very loyal and territorial I suppose.

She does not like her belly rubbed ... just her chin, neck, and face! Yuki is named after a local New Orleans Saki-bar on the famous Frenchman street. No, not Bourbon! Frenchman is way better! This bar is very much a hole in the wall with ornate decor.

So, I like to say I have a very eclectic kitty!

Where did you get her?

Beautiful! We just lost a nineteen-year-old that looked exactly like her when a kitten - and she was a beauty. Looking for a new kitten.

saffy!
by: Davina

Oh my goodness SAFFY is adorable!! She has more of a triangular face than my Yuki, maybe she has more Siamese in her! How beautiful! Yuki is 8 months now, I believe. She is a crazy kitty!! But, oh so sweet when she wants to be! :P

Ahh......!
by: SusanJ

Oh Yuki is SO sweet !!! Reminds us of our Saffy! Her eyes were bright blue like this [Safira means Sapphire in Portuguese, and we live in Portugal] - but as she got older her eyes changed. She now has a jet black centre, surrounded with a circle of blue and then an outer circle of pale green!!!

How old is Yuki now?? She is a very sweet kitten!!

Long haired Siamese - gorgeous blue eyes
by: Caroline (Admin)

Thanks Davina for your photos and story about Yuki. She's beautiful, and what gorgeous blue eyes she has. And she looks very special, too with her long hair. Even her ears have long hair! It will be interesting to see what she looks like as she grows up.

I've only been to New Orleans once (long time ago, before Hurricane Katrina) but have very happy memories of the city and surrounding areas, and especially some of those hole-in-the-wall bars!
